MongoDB has fast become one of the “goto” NoSQL databases that I see many clients I work with in my role as IBM Open Source Architect, I’ve found that the community Open Source product (free software) fits the majority of uses cases in which clients need a backend database to serve JSON data back to API requests that form part of their apps.
Despite it being free software, it’s always recommended to have support on the product – which IBM can provide along with advisory services, check out this article I recently published on LinkedIn for more details.
