Like most users of Apple’s iOS devices, I have spent a lot of time in the AppStore downloading and trying out various apps that may / may not be of use. Apple iTunes retains details of all apps that you have downloaded, installed along with those that you deleted from your iOS device.
The issue this creates is that you can have a long list of apps shown in the Apps view of iTunes and for a while now, I’ve been looking for a way to remove permanently those apps I really do not want to see anymore. It turns out that this is in fact easy in iTunes… If you select the Library > Apps view in iTunes, you can simply right click on the app you wish to remove and select delete from the pop up list. This is definitely one of those features that users really need, but is hard to find 😦
Would be great if Apple could improve the user interface to make complete management of apps simpler.
